This plan is designed for individual or family dial-up access to the Internet via modem. The plan includes:
|
|
Up to 10 email accounts. Shorter more convenient address names in the format of you@surfsafely.net.
The UCP is where SurfSafely.net users
control all of the settings for their account. From here changes can be made to
following:
Information can also be accessed on the following:
In order to access the UCP, a user must
know their account's "super secret" password. This password is set by the user
during the account creation process and ensures that only authorized individuals
using the account can access the UCP. This leaves the filter settings out-of-reach
for those it is designed to protect!
The UCP allows the user dynamically change these account settings and avoid calling Customer Support all together for these items!
To access the User Control Panel customers should click the Login link at the top right corner of our web pages.
SurfSafely.net puts the power of filtering into the user's hands. We realize that everyone's opinion on what should be filtered is based on their personal moral beliefs. For some families, the thought of their children accessing sites promoting movies is appalling. However, the next family may have no problem with their children viewing this type of website. With SurfSafely.net each family can choose from a list of 35 categories allowing them to customize the strength of the filtering used on their Internet connection.
The member area of the SurfSafely.net website is protected by a "super secret" password that is set by the user during the account creation process. Only users who know this "super secret" password are allowed to change the filter categories on their account.
What the EEWS Does:
| The EEWS is a state-of-the-art server that sits between the Internet and the SurfSafely.net email servers. The EEWS server scans all emails that are destined for a user's inbox. If a virus is discovered, the email is "quarantined" and the sender and receiver of the email are notified of the discovery. At the request of the intended receiver, the email will be released from quarantine and delivered to their inbox. For more info on EEWS, click here. |
