Email Early Warning System (EEWS)

How the EEWS Works:

SurfSafely.net uses a carefully chosen set of technologies to make the EEWS possible.  In the simplest of terms, EEWS works as follows:
  • An email destined for <someuser>@SurfSafely.net is received by the EEWS server.
  • The EEWS server uses virus scanning software to check the email for viruses.
  • If a virus is found, the email is quarantined on the EEWS server and the sender and receiver are notified of the virus.
  • If a virus is not found, the email is delivered to the user's inbox.

All of this processing happens very quickly and will not effect the speed at which SurfSafely.net users receive their email.
